but when i get login in my mediawiki site it given this error:

exception 'Exception' with message 'Path to phpBB install is not valid.' in /srv/www/vhosts/augenoptik-berlin.com/httpdocs/extensions/Auth_phpBB.php:649 Stack trace: #0 /srv/www/vhosts/augenoptik-berlin.com/httpdocs/extensions/Auth_phpBB.php(919): Auth_phpBB->loadPHPFiles('UTF8') #1 /srv/www/vhosts/augenoptik-berlin.com/httpdocs/extensions/Auth_phpBB.php(497): Auth_phpBB->utf8('Macs') #2 /srv/www/vhosts/augenoptik-berlin.com/httpdocs/includes/User.php(549): Auth_phpBB->getCanonicalName('Macs') #3 /srv/www/vhosts/augenoptik-berlin.com/httpdocs/includes/User.php(246): User::getCanonicalName('Macs', 'valid') #4 /srv/www/vhosts/augenoptik-berlin.com/httpdocs/includes/SpecialUserlogin.php(349): User::newFromName('Macs') #5 /srv/www/vhosts/augenoptik-berlin.com/httpdocs/includes/SpecialUserlogin.php(425): LoginForm->authenticateUserData() #6 /srv/www/vhosts/augenoptik-berlin.com/httpdocs/includes/SpecialUserlogin.php(100): LoginForm->processLogin() #7 /srv/www/vhosts/augenoptik-berlin.com/httpdocs/includes/SpecialUserlogin.php(17): LoginForm->execute() #8 /srv/www/vhosts/augenoptik-berlin.com/httpdocs/includes/SpecialPage.php(653): wfSpecialUserlogin(NULL, Object(SpecialPage)) #9 /srv/www/vhosts/augenoptik-berlin.com/httpdocs/includes/SpecialPage.php(459): SpecialPage->execute(NULL) #10 /srv/www/vhosts/augenoptik-berlin.com/httpdocs/includes/Wiki.php(201): SpecialPage::executePath(Object(Title)) #11 /srv/www/vhosts/augenoptik-berlin.com/httpdocs/includes/Wiki.php(45): MediaWiki->initializeSpecialCases(Object(Title), Object(OutputPage), Object(WebRequest)) #12 /srv/www/vhosts/augenoptik-berlin.com/httpdocs/index.php(89): MediaWiki->initialize(Object(Title), Object(OutputPage), Object(User), Object(WebRequest)) #13 {main}

Check your path to phpBB3. The plug-in gives that error when it can not load the phpBB3 files it needs.

In the config file stands: Path from this file to your phpBB install.
root
|-[bin]
|-[extensions]
|-[phpBB]
-[adm]
-[cache]
|-LocalSettings.php

I write:
$wgAuth_Config['PathToPHPBB'] = 'phpbb';

The path in the error code is correct. Which path is the right?

Thanks

Now you are getting a new error.

"Unable to find phpbb's utf_tools.php file. Please check that it is installed."

is not the same as

"Path to phpBB install is not valid."

So $wgAuth_Config['PathToPHPBB'] = './phpBB'; is a valid path. But it looks like the script can not find the correct phpBB3 files. So something is not setup right.

I'm quite sure that I already tried "$wgAuth_Config['PathToPHPBB'] = './phpBB3';". I tried it again and I have the same error as it also appeared on the other domain "exception 'Exception' with message 'Unable to find phpbb's utf_tools.php file". The installation was successfully without any problems. Without "Auth_phpBB" it works without any errors. Do you have any other ideas for another solution.

I'm despairing

in your phpBB3 directory do you have a includes directory?

In the includes directory do you have a utf directory?

In the utf directory do you have a file called utf_tools.php

The code is trying to do this.

require_once $this->_PathToPHPBB . 'includes/utf/utf_tools.php';

and you are getting the error because it can not find the file there.

I change in LocalSettings.php
require_once './phpBB/includes/utf/utf_tools.php';

require_once $this->_PathToPHPBB . 'includes/utf/utf_tools.php'; doesn´t work in my wiki

and in /includes/utf/utf_tools.php

if (!defined('IN_PHPBB'))
{
# exit;
}

Is not the best way but is running Smile

I'm getting a similar error when a user tries to log in if you could help me out, please?

The path is obviously correct as when a new user tries to register it goes to the phpbb registration page.

Thanks if you can help me solve it as this will be a great mod if it works

It needs to be a absolute or relative path. You are using a URL and that is not correct.

The add-on does work.
