Hi guys, not a really big issue, but one I would like resolved anyway, my user name on my forum, the same as this one, ends in a capital D, I know its not exactly strict to the english language, but I think it looks better than a lower-case d, anyway when I use plugin you have created to link mediawiki to phpbb3 it forces the last letter in my name to revert to a lower-case d, which as I said isn't really a BIG issue, but I have a lot of articles written as my user name with an upper-case D and I would like to keep things canonical, both systems support capitals mid-word so I'm not sure why the plugin would remove the capitals, also this affects some of my users who prefer a lower-case letter in the beginning, the letter is converted to upper-case automatically, its quite anoying, not a huge thing, but it is anoying... any quick fix for this?

Thanks, and sorry for the long winded explanation

Yea I know what you are talking about. It is listed as a known issue for the plug-in.

I think there might be a problem with your solution. I have not tested it yet so I can not say for sure. But the problem is with non-English usernames.

However please try the mod and if it fixes your problem then all is well.

Haven't tried with other than non-latin characters, but works with accents in the vowels (acute and grave), the (middot), the letter , etc. (I've tried them).

I've tried it in MW 1.12

Try. हिन्दी I lifted it off a page so I do not know what it means.

Here is some Korean you can try too. 한국어

To test these I think the database char set needs to be set to UTF-8.

I've tried both and they work. Without having changed anything from the database. The names are shown correctly in MW's inteface (but when you see the usernames in the DB, they look really weird).

If you want me to try any other names, just tell me.
